The Bank Holiday for teams in the three National League means marathon journeys, Kings Lynn at Chorley, Gateshead at Yeovil, Hereford at Spennymoor and the winner being Scarborough at Merthyr.
So just a 10 hour return trip for Kings Lynn to basically have their changes of winning gone after two minutes.
A hot windy afternoon in Central Lancashire, sawa repeat of the last match I saw at Victory Park, the end of season play off between the two sides which Chorley won 1-0.
As I said two minutes and game over, a loose ball near the touchline was won by Henley a split second before Lynn forward Maja lunged in catching the home player, out came the red card.

About ten minutes later a bit of head tennis in the Kings Lynn area led to Calveley scrambling the ball home for the first.
Credit to the visitors they actually played some good football with Gyasi working extremely hard in a lone role up front. Chorley should have added a second just before the break but Ellis slid the ball wide from close range.

A tough task for Lynn got even tougher after the break, long ball home forward and keeper go for the ball outside the box, they collide, and the keeper also receives a card of the red variety. Personal view, think he was a bit unlucky but off he went.
Paul Jones ex league keeper came on, the first thing he did was to drop a cross and watch as Hewitt fired the ball home, from then on in, it was a case of how many, Lynn defended as best they could but two late goals by Ibbotson and Ellis took the score to four.
Eleven a side it could hhave been an interesting game.

Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
