Jamie was a good player and a lovely lad, but a passer? Not the worst, but far from the best. A runner, a worker, full of guts , decent shot even .......
O'Neill pulled a decent pint, played the same ball every time, but at least he kept it in play which was more than you could say for Ken Burton who could give the oppostion a throw-in out of a clear blue sky.
Darikwa's a proper athlete and he beats players. The one thing I'll admit is that when he works inside, which is absolutely the right thing for him to do, because outside creates us next to nothing without a big centre forward, is that he needs to grow the confidence to shoot ...... so defence and keeper are facing three options, shot, cross and lay-off pass ......
