North End head to Barrow with a number of players absent. Brad Potts, Daniel Jebbison, Jordan Thompson, Robbie Brady and Will Keane all missed the opening day through injury and are expected to be unavailable again on Tuesday night.
Seven summer signings made their debut for the club against Queens Park Rangers, while goalkeeper Jack Walton was an unused substitute, and he’ll no doubt be hoping to make his bow against the League Two side.
Liam Lindsay, who went off with an injury at Loftus Road, will be assessed.
The Hosts
Barrow have had a tough start to the season, losing their opening two matches to teams expected to be pushing for promotion into League One.
After finishing 16th last term, the Bluebirds have had a busy summer and their most recent addition is a name familiar to North End supporters. Tom Barkhuizen, who made more than 200 appearances for PNE, made the move to Barrow last month.
In charge at the SO Legal Stadium is former Coventry City and Oxford United defender Andy Whing, who took over as head coach in January 2025.
Match Officials
Referee: Ross Joyce
Assistant Referees: Daniel Woodward and Lewis Raper

Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
