There were lots of points up for grabs this weekend but we made a collective ham-fist of getting them.
The only points awarded (finally, I know, I could have done it last week) were to AmChaff, themaclad and ritchie for the Lions 2-1 win over the Wallabies.
AmChaff and SHEP were closest with 2nd placed Demi Vollering in Le Tour Femmes, winner Pauline Ferrand Prevot outsmarted all of us.
England only needed a few runs to win the final test, India only needed a few wickets. England's repeated failure to bowl out the the last pair cheaply bit them on the backside again. As a result the series was drawn, so nobody got a point there either.
To wrap up our collective misery, we all drew blanks at the Women's Open in Porthcawl too. Charlie Hull livened things up for the locals, and some of her opponents by firing an errant shot onto another tee. She eventuall finished tied 2nd to Japan's Miyu Yamashita. Jeeno Thitikul finished Tied 30th, Nelly Korda was Tied 36th. That said there's not much between us all now.

Elsewhere the Shale Shifters were back in action in Riga. Despite top scoring in the heats, Zmarzlik finished 4th in the final, which was once again won by Brady Kurtz. Freddy Lingren and Andzejs Lebedev mopped up the other points. With Kurtz winning the last 3 Grand Prix', he is now only 3 points behind Zmarzlik.

Next round is Wroclaw, Poland at the end of the month.
The F1 boys moved to The Hungaroring, where The Hamster described himself as useless. The McLaren boys registered another 1-2 with Norris beating Piastri and Russell taking 3rd from what had been an impressive drive at the front by Leclerc, only for a loss of power to drop him off the podium.

Next Round is Netherlands at the end of the month.
The race for the play-off's and "The World Series" in the Boys of Summer Mens Rounders, looks like this after the weekend's results.

Inter-League games are "on deck" this week, where they play to the "Home teams Rules".
Designated hitter if at an AL Ballpark, the pitcher hits if at an NL Ballpark.
Most sports (selected) have a quiet(ish) rest of the month as many take a holiday break. Mine ends tomorrow evening as I fly back across the pond. If you're due one, have a good one. If you've already had one, I hope you're not getting too frazzled already.

A guide to cask ale.
