Burton Albion have re-signed versatile defender Kyran Lofthouse on a two-year deal from from League One rivals Barnsley.
The 24-year-old helped the Brewers avoid relegation from League One last season, making 16 appearances after arriving at Pirelli Stadium on loan in February.
He moves back to the east Staffordshire side for an undisclosed fee, with his deal including an option on a 12-month extension.
Lofthouse joined the Tykes from non-league side Woking in the summer of 2023, and made 25 of his total of 28 appearances for the Yorkshire side last season before making his loan move to Burton.
"Kyran made a big impression last season and we felt it was really important for him to return to enable us to play how we want to this season," Burton boss Gary Bowyer told the club website.
