Rotherham United have signed former Barnsley midfielder Josh Benson on a one-year deal following a successful trial.
The 25-year-old was a free agent after leaving the Tykes after four years at the end of last season.
He could make his competitive debut for the Millers in their League One season-opener at home to Port Vale on Saturday, 2 August.
