Points, points, points this weekend and we have a new leader.
Wombledon came to a climax, or rather an anti-climax on Saturday. In the most one-sided final since 1900 and frozen to death, Swiatek battered Anisimova 6-0, 6-0. She says she froze. Well, either that or she'd been on a bender on the Pimms and strawberries since beating Sabalenka on Thursday. Points to Snoots and me. The mens final on Sunday was, as expected, a much closer afair than the 3 sets to 1 scoreline indicates. Sinner the winner over Alcaraz with every set finishing 6-4 (or 4-6 for the pedants). Points to Snoots and themaclad.
The Beeb also eventually noticed some of the other stuff going on at Wombledon and reported a rare British win in the mens doubles. I've no idea whether they actually broadcast any of those games, including the final, but after all the celebrating of more than a few of ours making it to Round 2 last week, it gave them something to celebrate when er, Norrie was the only one of them to make it passed last Sunday.
Those two correct predictions moves Snoots to the top of the pile.

India need 135 more runs with 6 wickets remaining at Lords to go 2-1 up if they win or 2-1 down if they lose. I don't see this ending up as a draw.
In the footy, the group games at Euro 2025 are done and dusted with the Quarter Final ties as follows

Chelsea won the Club World Cup with Donald Trump awarding the trophy to himself. Who knew he was a bigly soccerball fan?
Just when you thought the Lions were having a hard time, the Aussie/New Zealand invitational side decided to not get too involved on Saturday in Adelaide as the Lions ran out 48-0 winners. Some newspapers have called it a super display by the Lions whilst ignoring the half-hearted defence of the oppo's who clearly didn't want to get injured in a meaningless damp squib of a match for them. Expect more fireworks than this next weekend in Brisbane as the First Test kicks off. In other RU news Wales finally won a game. Are we bovvered?
Finally in Le Tour, Pogaçar is back on top of the pile as they head towards the proper mountain stages.
