A word for the Essen friendly, our 150th anniversary game and first time the teams have played since our european cup tie in 1955 - a cracking match ensued with a great atmosphere, the germans brought over a large and colourful support that contributed greatly. Was such a beautiful evening weather wise and a good result at the end with a 3-2 win. Everything you want from a friendly really.

The German fans were sound as well and drank long into the night in pubs in town with not the least bit of bother. Very enjoyable night.
