Other than an excellent clearing header from a Southampton cross from their left, his quality was zero. Crosses were constantly over hit, poor passing etc etc. I just don't know how he keeps getting selected over Poco or indeed anyone who could do a better job.
Funny how others who watched the game thought Brunt was one of our best players. Certainly wasn't for me !
Other than mis-hitting a couple of left wing crosses, which used to be his forté, I think Brunt had a good game. I am led to understand Pocognoli isn't keen on the tough training régime and appears to have lost his watch. If true, neither of these problems is likely to endear him to a strong disciplinarian like TP.
From what I saw on match choice brunty did alright. We have to bear in mind he's trying to get used to being a LB now and give him a bit of slack. I still think Poco's place has gone due to his reckless challenges that lead to free kicks in dangerous areas. Brunty hasn't got Poco's pace but I think he has experience at this level and is doing ok for my money. After all He was the provider for Saido's stunning goal that settled the match yesterday
