As you all probably know Aberdeen won the Scottish Cup after a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over Celtic. The Dandy Dons upset the applecart in the same fashion as Crystal Palace did in the English Cup Final by winning a game they were not entitled to win. 
In my honest opinion Celtic suffered from the same malaise as Man City. It was going to be all too easy, they didn't need to be passionate, inspired, they just needed to turn up and go through the motions. Aberdeen were motivated, they gave their all and although second best for much of the game, they fought for everything. The two goals were anti-climaxes - an unfortunate deflection for Celtic's one and a puzzling, flapping swipe from Schmeichel for Aberdeen.
If anything summed up Celtic, it was their opening decisive penalty from Callum MacGregor, a poor, insipid attempt from a player who looked as though he didn't want the responsibility. His greetin'-faced show at the end said it all.
So, well done Aberdeen, even though it cost Hibs a step down in European competition in the summer.
