David Ajiboye has been released by Peterborough United following his loan spell at Newport County.
The 26-year-old scored twice in 21 appearances for Newport after joining on loan in January.
He is now available on a free transfer having scored four goals in 73 games for Posh since joining them from Sutton United in 2022.
In March, then Exiles boss Nelson Jardim said Ajiboye "ticks all the boxes" at League Two level.
Jardim said he hoped Ajiboye would return to Rodney Parade, but it remains to be seen whether Newport – who are currently managerless - will look to sign the former Brighton youngster on a permanent deal.
Peterborough United have cancelled the contract of goalkeeper Jed Steer at his request.
The former Aston Villa keeper had another 12 months left on the deal he signed last summer but wants to leave for "personal reasons".
He saved two penalties against Wrexham to help Posh reach this season's EFL Trophy final at Wembley, and kept a clean sheet when they beat Birmingham City in the final to make it back-to-back wins in the competition.
A new contract has been offered to defender Tayo Edun, who joined them in January after leaving Charlton Athletic and scored twice in 17 appearances.
But goalkeeper Nicholas Bilopkapic has been made available for transfer, along with former Colchester striker Bradley Ihinovien, full-back Jack Sparkes and striker Jacob Wakeling.
The club have confirmed that highly-rated winger Kwame Poku, forward Ricky-Jade Jones and midfielder Hector Kyprianou, who scored the second goal in the 2-0 win over Birmingham, will all leave the club when their contracts expire.
Posh will be entitled to tribunal compensation for Poku and Jones, who both came through their academy.
Meanwhile, winger David Ajiboye and striker Kabongo Tshimanga have both been released, having ended the season on loan at Newport County and Swindon Town.
