MEN
Scotland made short work of beating United States 10-1 in the first Semi-final. A really tight game for the first 5 ends was shaken up with the Scots scoring 3 shots in the 6th end and then 4 shots in the 7th end to secure victory. The other Semi-final was a much tighter affair with Canada beating Finland 6-3, courtesy of two single shots in the 7th and 8th ends.
Canada won Gold, again courtesy of scoring in the 7th and 8th ends, by beating Scotland 10-7. Both teams traded 2s and 3s for most of the game, with Canada proving unbeatable. In the Bronze Medal Game, the team scoring in the final 2 ends won again with United States triumphing over Finland by 6-5.

England were ranked 9th overall, with Wales 20th and Ireland 21st.
WOMEN
Canada beat Ireland 9-4 in the Semi-final with a brilliant start, scoring 7 shots in the first 2 ends. Scotland edged out Japan by 6-3 in another tight game with the Scots being only in front 4-3 after 6 ends.
Both home teams won the Medal Games with Scotland demolishing Canada 10-2 after only 6 ends. Ireland did the needful as well, beating Japan 6-4 by scoring two shots each end in consecutive ends to give themselves some leeway.
