Should have gone for Robbins before he joined stoke, his performances since January would have us promoted.
Having said that, his results have been achieved with different players, would he, could he have achieved the same with our current squad.
People try to compare managers, including me, and superimpose their results onto their own teams and yet no two teams are alike, different skill sets, different mind sets, different reactions to training methods and styles.
Let’s hope who ever gets the chalice, doesn’t get the poison and the stars all align and once again Albion fly. We all want Albion to be the best they can be and to compete for trophies, 57 years since success, 58 by the next time we could appear in a final.

Robbins win ration with Stoke is 33% against 29% for Mowbray at the Albion. Whilst clearly better than TM's, I'm not sure that gets us promoted. It would get us into the play offs but no guarantee after that. I was never particularly sold on Robbins as our manager although recognise he was unfairly treated at Coventry. Having said that, Lampard has done an outstanding job there, despite most of us thinking it would all end in unmitigated failure.
I also see there is some speculation regarding Gerrard. My initial reaction is "absolutely not" but could this be another Lampard situation? Who knows!
