I like Tony, however I did not want him back, I feared this would happen. Will always be grateful for the title in 2008 but I can’t think of any returning manager that has been a success for us.
We had a good chance of the playoffs when he came in, he failed to find his best team, did not build a team or get the squad to gel. He suffered lots of injuries but also oversaw a deterioration in discipline. No red cards for two thirds of the season then four in a few weeks didn’t help the cause.
