I really don't know what to make of Scotland's regular erratic performances. In their final game against China, they went down 2-9 without too much of a fight. At 2-2 after 4 ends, it looked like another tight game, but China won the following 4 ends to run out convincing winners. Once again Bruce Mouat had a poor game, making only 66% and Grant Hardie scored 70%.
Never mind, no damage done in the grand scheme of things, with the Scots qualifying in 5th position on 8 wins. In one of the other final games, Canada had a tariffic
game against United States, winning 8-3.
The Qualifying Games this afternoon saw China overcome Norway 8-7 after an extra end, while Scotland beat defending champions Sweden by the same score in the regulation 10 ends. This time saw a much improved percentage score from Mouat at 86% and Hardie at 95%.
Tonight's Semi-finals at 10pm have Canada playing Scotland with Switzerland playing China. The Bronze Medal Game is at 4pm tomorrow with the Gold Medal Game at 10pm.
PS - I've just noticed that Canada v Scotland is on the i-player and BBC Sport website.
