Early days, he’s only had them training for a few days and it’s always difficult when playing teams who are camped in trying not to embarrass themselves.
England under Southgate were like Town under Duff Duff, keep the ball and move them around to try and create an opening, only Southgate was more than a bit more successful at it than Duff Duff.
Didn't see much difference in tempo in either of these England games in spite of the prematch waffle, against opposition that relatively speaking (FIFA rankings) weren't much better than Crawley (League 1 positions) are against Town. We finally opened up Latvia when we went/ran at them with some speed. It took less than 3 minutes for Town under Worthy to do that against Crawley, not a game and 3/4'ers.
I'm hoping to see more "Worthy-ball" on Saturday (and a few games to follow) in order to justify paying as much as an Halifax Town fan for my next season card.
A guide to cask ale.
