I did some mathematics, for me to sit where I sit and get good value for money I essentially would have to go to all games that I don't have cricket, so somewhere around 19. I currently go to about 15. That would make it roughly 30 quid a game for me, so the only benefit I'm getting there is guaranteed entry and little else. Now my circumstances are changing I might only make 10 games anyway, that take it's to 44 quid a game basically. So that makes my mind up with regards to riverside upper.
It also makes the decision for the other stands, with the open lower north stand being cheaper overall for my ten games as compared to pay on the day. The upper tier would probably come out evens.
Now I'm basing this on pay on the day being about 30 quid a time. I might also get free ticket in those ten which would change my number per game obviously. But me not renewing and doing this arguably gives me over 100 in savings, which can be used elsewhere or to buy a new season ticket in 3/4 years or so. I will be back I don't doubt that. But not next season. Town have just made my mind up for me.
