The matchday experience since 2017-18 has been awful. Only the cheap tickets kept us coming back. I can't see us re-newing. If it's still 25 quid to pay on the day, will pick and choose games. If they shove that up as well, you can shove it up your arse Nagle!
Can easily see that being £30 Adults, £25 old farts and some other concessions, young kids and teens prices made up on the hoof. Town already make it hard/impossible to just 'turn up and pay' on the day most of the time. 50%+ price increases are not going to put a lot of bums on seats next season.
15,000 x £250 = £3.75m
10,000 x £370 = £3.70m
12,500 x £370 = £4.625m
15,000 x £370 = £5.55m
Wonder which figure they are hoping for and how dumb they'll look if they get the lowest one? Won't be surprised if they get bitten on the arse with this one and finish up with the same season ticket revenue if we don't get promoted. Alternatively I could just come up and watch 10 games, pay as you go. £250, or there abouts and sit where I can.
I normally renew in a heartbeat, but Town (and Worthy) have 5 weeks to convince me it's worth paying for this time. If I do, it won't go out of the bank account this season, it will go on the credit card, which means they get paid in installments as each game is played rather than all at once. (The joys of administration still linger). I've already fired off a "pissed off of Wolvo" email to the ticket office. Hell, that's £4 more than my bro pays for his full price Halifax Town Season ticket - whatever next?
I also don't get the different price in a different stand thing, other than sitting in the rain in the crap stand. You aren't paying to watch a better product/team or get a better experience in general in the Riverside Upper unless it's "corporate" or you pay for a box and involves exhorbitant pre-match meals (and drinks that still have to be paid for). I've complained about the different match day pricing for some games a few years back, likely I wasn't the only one and they soon dropped that. I also complained that season ticket prices shouldn't increase after a certain date as folk have to budget for holidays and other things around Town selling season tickets (sometimes as early as February). Increasing the prices based on a date just drives would be/could be fans away. They changed that idea too. Those that don't learn from history ........
I could argue that the person sitting in Row Y of the Kilner Bank actually has a better seat than me in the Riverside lower. For a kick off they have more leg room than we do in Row Y of the Riverside lower plus extra concessions to grab a pie and a pint from at half time whereas we have just the 2
