Sometimes we're so tedious to watch. Pedestrian, standing football, doing little ball rolls under the studs ready for our pre-planned passing circle between the 2 centre halves and centre midfielder.
All while we're losing and supposed to be "chasing" the game...
I'm not going to blame the manager because it's completely familiar. We've seen this same performance under Corberan multiple times this season. The only difference is that on most occasions we have fashioned a draw rather than lost. A draw would've probably been a fair result today too. Derby's goals were fortunate and we had more of the ball, but that doesn't make it any less painful to watch.
But where are the winners in this team? The players taking the game by the scruff of the neck, driving us up the pitch? The players who want to win?
The only starters who really seem to want to drive forward and win were Mikey Johnston and Maja. All the rest seem happy to tip tap around in our own half.
John Swift is supposed to be our number 10 but looks like he would be happy collecting the ball of the centre halves all day and never crossing the halfway line. Surely a professional in that position is supposed to be busting a gut to score and create goals.
Obviously we need a new manager with his own ideas, but I think we're going to struggle to do anything with this personnel. We're short of legs, winning mentality, creativity.
