If Corberan does go now, I'd wish him well. Valencia are a big club and also his local side, so could see the attraction.
I'd also be far less disappointed about it than I would've had he been poached in the summer, given how we've played this season.
As I've already mentioned, I think he's done a great job with limited resource in the past 2 years. However, this season the football has become a bit long in the tooth. Despite finally getting back to winning ways recently, I don't see us winning enough games to get promoted this season. On that basis, I'd like to see us play more entertaining stuff. Something I'm not sure Carlos could give us.
If he does go, who would I want...
When Patel took over, Ivan Juric was heavily linked with the job, but he's just gone to Southampton so that would be him out of the running.
My dream appointment would be Kjetil Knutsen, but he's turned down more favourable opportunities so that's probably a non starter.
Of the "available" names, I suppose Potter is the standout name following his work at Ostersund and Brighton. However, when a manager does well at Brighton you do always wonder how much it's down to the manager and how much it's down to their excellent recruitment. So that does always give me some doubts.
I see Bilic has thrown his name in the hat but I wouldn't want him back after his naive selections when we got promoted.
I'm sure with Shilen and Bilkul's football connections that they will have someone in mind. We're in safer hands than previous years and if we get cash for Corberan that helps too.
