The EGM will open. Then close, but the votes will have been cast.
I think that the shareholders who wish to see the board removed will be extremely well organised, cast their votes by post and the whole thing will be a done deal before the EGM takes place.
All of the votes cast by post by the deadline will be counted and, should the support for the resolution gain an absolute majority, it won't matter what happens at the EGM.
