I think it was a wretched day for our club. I don’t know what the sanctions will be but I suspect they will be substantial; regardless of the stupidity of Wolves fans sitting in the home end and then celebrating a goal, nothing excuses the violence. We can point to these Wolves fans inciting the trouble but how did they get tickets? We can only assume, at this stage, they were provided through an Albion source.

I’m sure the finger of blame can be pointed in several dire directions but the FA will see us as ultimately to blame for failing to control our supporters. With the sale of the club at a delicate stage, this has not been helpful
