Plymouth Argyle at home

I’m probably one of not very many but I thought we did ok yesterday, let me clarify that for you.

I have no problem with the team he picked, once again the team just about picks itself at the moment.

I thought we started well enough and got done on the counter.

We lost our way a little after the Plymouth goal and the crowd started to get on the players backs and just when we were having our roughest patch in the game we managed to get an equaliser.

It’s very difficult to win games when you start a game with no forwards on the pitch (due to them all being injured). Other than that I thought we battled well across the pitch and got stuck in but not having that recognised forward on the pitch is killing us. At times Sorba would come deep for the ball, go on a run and not realise he was the one that was supposed to be on the end of his crosses..

Now for the questionable decisions.

Why play a right back who had a good game at City at left centre back of a 3?
Why then play a right/left back in front of the right back on the left?
Why when those 2 mentioned above are playing are we playing a central midfielder as a right wing back?

Yesterday we really should’ve started with a 4 at the back. Spencer,Helik,Lees and Jackson. Round pegs in round holes.

Why when you’ve got Matos who is 18 years old, admittedly he was lucky not to get booked but he wasn’t would you then bring him off. He didn’t look tired and being 18 he should have the energy to complete the game.

Finally the chairman tweeting NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I know we want the chairman to open and vocal but coming out with statements like this and then saying he doesn’t like the ball going backwards and that he’s having lunch with the players this week and he’s going to tell them this isn’t going to go down well with his manager and the players. If you ask me it’s undermining the management team that he put in place
