SG should keep his job until the end of the campaign, at which point he either steps down to a coaching role, or if he prefers, he can manage an L1 or L2 club.
Once ratified I expect the owners have a much more ambitious plan to set in motion. SG simply cannot be manager if this club is to move forward next season however, sacking him now means we need to either hire a manager ( who is available now? and who would be available come the end of the season?) or have another 'temporary' manager' to take SG's place until such time a suitable replacement is found.
We have to like it or lump it for the rest of the season, it makes no business sense to throw SG out of the door at this time.
