That's a damning indictment of how bad we've been for the 730 days since, but also - we can dare to hope - the first glimpse of a corner being turned.
It wasn't all one-way traffic, but yes, easily the best we've been under Pulis so far, and at no point did Swansea really knock on the door or cause us serious problems. And then you've got the continuing redemption of Brown Ideye, skinning Swans players like they were under-15s, harrying their defence all the time and taking his goal with real composure. Saido's goal was another beauty, and I really, really hope that's the beginning of a fine partnership between the two (what was that about them being too similar to play together, Mr Irvine?!)
Tony and the players deserve all the plaudits they get tonight. Long way still to go, but this was a big step in the right direction.
After time to calm down - I think Swansea did knock at the door but every time they tried our boys snuffed it out. Not seen us fight like that for years.
They attacked but with little threat -due to our fighting spirit. Dunno if we could do that against the so called better teams BUT a huge step in the right direction and a deserved win from a game I would have hoped to win but expected a draw.
Awesome stuff - bring it on

I can go a step higher than Aston Villa
