Okay, here is my take on things.
There is no reason why we can’t win the Euro’s in Germany. I’m pretty sure we are the team everybody wants to avoid, that’s not to say we can’t be beaten but our record over the past few years is decent and nobody gets an easy game against us.
Lots of should have about to come up but we should’ve beaten Croatia in Russia, we most certainly should’ve won the last Euro’s and we were the better team against France in Qatar and should’ve at least gone to extra time against them.
Unfortunately for Gareth, should’ve probably won’t be good enough for him this time around. I sat next to one guy at Wembley last night and all he did was moan about Southgate and his negative tactics and yet we won 3-1. The guy isn’t on his own either, the ESTC has many vocal Southgate out supporters in its ranks(I’m not one of them)
Harry Kane is our main man leading the line and we do worry should he get injured but then behind him we have plenty of attacking flair in Saka, Rashford, Grealish and Foden to name a few. Behind them we have the ever improving Jude Bellingham who if he carries on might just become Englands best player ever. He’s backed up by Rice and a combination of Phillips and Henderson. One will improve he just needs regular club football and the other won’t let you down despite next year probably being his international swansong.
Defence can be a worry, but Walker,Stones and Maguire are still pretty solid despite HM not getting much game time and the left back role we can pick from Shaw and Trippier.. agin we have plenty of other options to cover all those positions.
Goalkeeper, Pickfor tops the pile but Ramsdale and Johnstone are well equipped to back him up..
The draw for the final will be interesting, I would expect England to be good enough to make the last 8 as a minimum, the last last 4 realistically and hopefully the final and holding our nerve based on previous experience..
