It's the circumstances that worry me. If it's due to DC interfering where he shouldn't be, I'm averse to it.
If it turns out Chairman Mao is executing a masterplan behind closed doors then I'll hold my hands up.
Sadly, it's far more likely he's interfering and his son will be playing football manager again.
He owns the club though, he can interfere wherever he likes and as any business owner he should be involved in everything.
The latest rumour suggests that Moore wanted 2-3 year contracts for him and all his staff instead of a rolling 12 month contract. DC refused to give this and offered a pay rise but on the same rolling year basis, Moore refused and therefore his contract technically expired.
I can see both sides of this, Moore would want this for job security as any one would and with his stock as high as it was going to get this was the right time to demand it. But it has been suggested that DC did not have faith in him after the run in and the fans reaction to Moore prior to the PO second leg game. DC I assume is thinking that if the start of the season does not go well then he would need to pay out a 3 year contract to get rid.
This would explain the mutual consent statement, he wasn't fired nor did he quit, his contract was not renewed. I don't think this was any part of any master plan by DC but as much as Moore's stock was on the up, so is the clubs having just been promoted. Irrespective of what a manager thinks of the owner, they still take jobs and they still believe they can succeed despite an owner!! So changing manager now is likely to be the best time for DC as well.
