Pulis... inherited a team in the doldrums, hurtling towards relegation. If he keeps us up, he'll have done a good job. If we go down, he's failed. It's that simple.

Some home truths there, Slick. Irvine was a disastrous appointment, no one could see the logic or sense in it. As well as JP, I firmly believe Terry Burton is to blame there - and watch him sitting next to TP in TP's first media interview after being appointed - Burton strikes me as a 'Yes' man, and if he went tomorrow, would we miss him?
If some of our squad aren't good enough, then starting now we need to ID some good, sensible transfer targets, starting with the back four, beginning at FB, and also targeting strikers.
