The football has been absolute dross all season. I thought the Everton game at home was the worst footballing performance that I've seen from the Baggies since the Brian Little era. So it's not like Pulis has transformed a good side into playing poorly, it's been this way since Irvine got hold of them.
I didn't agree with Pulis' selection today, but i'll judge him based on the position we finish.
He inherited a team in the doldrums, hurtling towards relegated. If he keeps us up, he'll have done a good job. If we go down, he's failed. It's that simple.
Unfortunately, we need a huge rebuild after years of poor recruitment and decisions. I firmly believe that we could've been comfortable this season with a decent coach installed at the start of the season, but Peace and co decided to go with a failure.
It's hard to argue against Pulis as the best choice to keep us up, given his record. Anyone moaning about the football or style of play should really blame the board, it's their bad decisions, over and over again, that have left us where we had little choice but to employ TP. For me, the blame lies with JP.
