Just back and big celebrations in Leith tonight after a dramatic victory in a game that had all kindsa incidents in it - they certainly added to the entertainment value for all fans who attended although it must be emphasised this was definitely a Hoops B team with a goalie who didn't perform very well. Hibs fighting back after twice going a goal behind. And our main strikers, Youann and Nisbet, did indeed "get the finger out" in the second half to make this a memorable last game of the season at ER Stadium. A few controversial ref decisions as usual and ref Clancy forgetting he wasn't wearing a Celtic jersey on occasions, but overruled by VAR on a big decision (a straight red card to JDH that was rightly changed to a yellow card) - a wrong one, when trying to "balance out" Celtic's loss of Maeda to a second yellow/red card that the lad should've received earlier than the point when he finally got it for fouling Fish. Two pks awarded, one for Celtic in the 1st half and a stonewall pk for Hibs that Nisbet dispatched competently in his 100th appearance for the club. I predicted Hibs would do well v 10 man Celtic as we have a vg 100% record playing 10 man sides during this season. This was another good turnaround and Youann could well have had a "hat trick" on another day. His 1st goal must rank as one of the goals of the season - a cracking "strike" that certainly boosted his confidence greatly after previously looking "out of touch" again. What a transformation!! And what a great night of football with big celebrations after the final whistle and "Sunshine on Leith" being chanted with gusto from the Hibs stands. Who would've guessed this result would turn out to be so positive in the penultimate game of Hibs season when all Hibs players thanked and applauded the Cabbage fans for their loyal support at the end. Well done!!!
