Results for Matchday 37: Threatened with losing his place in the end of season Play Offs, theo the luddite has played a blinder, getting this week's top score. But St Charles was only 6 points behind him, so going into the final round, he's just 13 points adrift. Do-able, but it will take some effort.
Only 5 points above theo is themaclad, who had a poor week this week, but should be ok to hang on for the Play Offs.
At the top, jjamez and Bob the Baggie both scored the same, so it's still a 29 point lead for jjamez, so it looks like the title won't be going to West Bromwich this time.
Now then. I have a proposal for next season. I'm thinking of splitting the group of 12 into two groups of 6 (or more if we pick up some more participants), with promotion and relegation at the end of the calendar year, just to make it a bit more interesting for you all. Personally I think we need to jazz it up a bit.
What I'm proposing is for the bottom of group 1 and the top of group 2 swap places after the Christmas games. Next to bottom and next to top have a play off in the New Years day matchday and the FA Cup 3rd round matchday for the next promotion or relegation place. The next season would start off from the next matchday, finishing off on the last matchday of the EFL season, with then another set of Play Offs.
Group One and Group Two would each have it's own set of fixtures.
What do you all think? Or should we just leave it as it is?
