Thank you, that does explain it but also shows why nobody can compete with the top six clubs, two of which got there by spending a small countries gdp before ffp was brought in.
Bring back level playing fields.

FFP is directly geared up to benefit the big clubs and directly structured to prevent others getting into this group. By making the rule about a set % of revenue, the established big clubs can therefore spend more because they have more revenue. Newcastle are trying to break into this group, but their revenue is under 200m, so well under half of Arsenal, the "poorest" of the 6 clubs we currently refer to, that essentially means that the top 6 can spend double what Newcastle can. Newcastle desperately need to stay in the Top 4, becasue that CL money will be the only way they can hope to catch up.

The PL and Uefa will say all day long that this is the best way to safeguard the game etc etc, but its not, it's the best way to prevent Leicester doing what they did!! If they were truly interested in a level playing field then they would have set a salary/transfer spending cap that is the same for every club but they won't do that.
