Brexit has destroyed our GDP, raised food prices over the last 2 years and caused chaos with our exports. We've also lost a swathe of financial services, one of the few things the UK specialised in.

It's going to be a massive problem for english governments for years to come. Simply because they allowed the electorate to attach their own individual fantasy to it and because of the bogus electoral system in the UK.
