Post Transfer D-day options.

Morning All,
Well, whatever anyone thinks, we are 2 players better off then we were before Jan 1st, and still have hold of some stuttering strikers and no left back who the Guvner likes.
What are the options now?
Usually , around this time, a list is put together of the "out of contract" players that are available the CAN BE signed outside of the transfer window.
I see that Spurs have cancelled the contract of Benoit Assou-Ekotto, a left back that was a stalwart of the Pre Pochetino regime, so could he do a job for us?
He is 30, but given the right incentive, could be a good cheap option on a short term contract.
Also, there have always been a few strikers knocking around who are getting on a bit, but out of contract and available on short term deals.
Personally, I think TP will just suck it up, and get on with what he has got, and may have to look at the striker situation a little differently and also see if he can use Pocco or Baird at left back, even though he does not seem too keen on this- Lescott is wasted at L/B , IMO.
What do we all think?
Have we got enough to see us through, or do we look at OOC possibles?
Cheers,
