BT SPORT REPORT ON SOLIHULL GAME
#2
Thanks for that, Dev. I didn`t watch the match on BT Sport so I`ve only seen the highlights, which aren`t always representative.

There`s no doubt in my mind that any of the top 3 in the National League - and maybe several others as well - could survive comfortably, if not prosper, in League 2. Eventually the number of automatic promotion / relegation places is going to have to be increased; I think it`s inevitable. But when? Who knows? A bit of blinkered perceived self-protection on the part of the league clubs, unfortunately. Nobody is immune from what`s happened to us - how many years ago was it that Burnley were about 2 minutes from dropping out of the league? - and several other long-established league clubs; one day they`ll wake up to the fact that it`s in their interests to make promotion easier in case it`s them next.

By the way, I wasn`t so much disappointed that you didn`t go to Plainmoor as surprised. I just automatically assumed that you would.
