I appreciate that he's still raw and that he's been sent here to learn his trade but in all my years watching Town I don't think I've seen a worse 47minutes of football from a Town player than I did last night.
1st goal, he's not tight to his man. player shapes one way comes back the other and Mbete is half way to Milton Keynes having fallen for the Old Elvis hip swing
2nd goal, he's in prime position to deal with it, he's in between the man and ball but he's as soft as shit, a slight nudge that he really should be stronger with and he's been done again. I'd expect any of us to deal with that.
3rd goal, once again the ball to comes to him..no danger, no pressure. He goes for it with his left foot, misses it and then shins it for the perfect assist off his right leg.
I know it won't please Pep and Co but he needs to go back to the B-team or a lower league than the Championship to learn his trade a bit more.
On a more positive note Sorba looked much better playing out on the right and for a change his set piece delivery was more like his old self
I remarked to Mitzi as well that at least we had scored 3 goals until she then pointed out that one was a Own goal and the other two from set pieces. scoring from open play is still a problem then.
MY team for Sunday
Nicholls
Helik, Lees, Yuta
Sorba, Hogg, Camara, Jackson
Holmes
Rhodes, Ward
