Key points:
- One Day Cup to be played as a knockout competition in April, eliminated teams to play impromptu (and meaningless) red-ball warm-ups to fill time
- County Championship to commence in May and be played through June, July and September, but not August
- County Championship top division to consist of six teams with only one relegated; two "feeder" conferences to exist below it, with the winners contesting an end-of-season play-off to determine promotion
- Only ten Championship games per season; further first-class fixtures to consist of local "cricket festivals" in August, when non-Hundred players face off against rivals
The chairman of Kent has already put out a strong statement, concluding "we will not allow our club to be rendered irrelevant."

"I would rather spend a holiday in Tuscany than in the Black Country, but if I were compelled to choose between living in West Bromwich or Florence, I should make straight for West Bromwich." - J.B. Priestley
