Probably played a side who will be there or there abouts at the end of the season, therefore will take the point, in fairness they should probably have been ahead by half time. Burnley pass the ball about excellently something that we should occasionally try, had nippy wingers and generally looked good on the ball, possibly mainly try to work the perfect goal but looked more than decent last night.
Credit to both sides fans for the impecable minutes silence before Russell Watson blasted out God Save the King.
Early goal for the visitors probably wasn't unexpected, easy header from Harwood-Bellis from the corner. Benson caused us plenty of problems down the right flank, sorry Brady is wasted as a wing back and on the other side Tella was a danger although Potts did well against him.
It took an age for the restart due to the inability of the stewards to pick up the flares, however within four minutes of the actual restart, we were level.
From a corner a bit of head tennis in the box , slight bit of fortune the keeper slips and Storey's header crosses the line by about two inches, technically we still have not hit the back of the net at home but will take it.
Roberts went close from a cross by Benson, a free kick was difflected wide as Burnley posed danger everytime they attacked. Mr Bankes gave them everything especially as they went down with ease. We manged to survive until half time, one substitution the unlucky McCann was substituted, didn't really help us in the first half when he picked up a very early booking.
Second period Burnley dominated with the ball but in truth didn't really look like scoring, they got into some good position but defensively we were excellent especially when Hughes and Fernandez arrived.
Fernandez gave us an option down the left hand side and there was a slight possibility we might have won this but some of our decision making around the area was poor. Long range shot by Browne and a chested attempt at goal again by Browne were the closest we got.
Personal view Fernandez has to start simple as that.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"It's a derby. I don't think we suffered too much, I think we played well. In the first half I think we did enough to win the game. In the second at times we just weren't patient enough.

"Anything can happen, in the end it's a draw, we've got to move on and the performance was encouraging. On another day, you win this game.

"We did everything we needed to do apart from finishing the game in the first half. We move on and we go again on Saturday."

Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
