Our squad is going to be thin bare with the current approach...
Clearly we are having to balance the books with every player we sign. So I get it, we need to free up funds for a striker.
But it just shows how badly mismanaged we have been if we can't balance our salaries so we have enough players for what is going to be a long, hard season.
And we've bought so much dross that we have some players - i.e. Ken Zohore - that just can't be shifted.
I don't think 3 central midfielders is enough, especially with our track record of red cards in the middle of the park.
Likewise, I don't think 3 central defenders is enough. While Bryan is obviously on the books as a 4th choice, the update from Bruce sounds like he's nowhere near fit.
We are an injury or 2 away from having to fill the team with square pegs in round holes. We already have that scenario up top.
Honestly don't understand what is going on at the club. You get a positive performance like Monday, which leaves you upbeat and then get brought back down to earth by us letting players go when we barely have a squad to field. I just hope this pathetic management that started in Luke Dowling's time gets eased out and we're fortunate enough to keep everyone fit. Although the latter already looks unlikely 3 games in.
