Dundee United becomes the second Scot footie club to fall at the first hurdle with a humiliating 7-0 thrashing by AZ Alkmaar in The Netherlands - totally outclassed and beaten by better players who "showed up" big time, but United sadly "all over the place" after conceding the crucial second goal. Rangers very fortunate not to be on that list of Euro casualties after a little known Belgian club, Union Saint Gilloise, capitulated in Glasgow after taking a 2-0 lead in Belgium that should've been 4-0 or 5-0 - so profligate in front of Rangers goal and a defence that was literally an "open door" for a Belgian club that that had no pedigree about it whatsoever. The words "let off the hook" come to mind!!
