We deserved to lose today, but 3-0 wasn't a fair reflection of the full ninety minutes. Absolute tripe for the first half-hour, and Spurs punished us, but we attacked well for the rest of the half and Lloris had to play a blinder to keep us out.
Ironically, we looked far more threatening than we did at any point in the Hull or Everton matches, but today we couldn't get that extra bit of luck to go with the hard work. At 2-1 I think Spurs would have panicked and it could have been a different outcome, but instead they get a saft penalty and kill the game. One of those days.
Let's see where we stand at the end of deadline day. If there are no new faces then we could be in for a long three and a half months of seeing Lescott at left back and Wisdom anywhere but Liverpool reserves, where he belongs. I still think we should have enough to beat the teams around and beneath us, but it'll be an uphill struggle without fresh blood.
