Facebook is the worst for "listening". Sometimes you only have to mention something, not search for it, and it will appear as an advert within the next five minutes.
The most ridiculous one I've had was when we went to see a talk by Julian Dutton at the Barnsley Lamproom Theatre. He was doing the talk as the actor John le Mesurier, it was very good. Anyway, he was talking about the small part he had in Kind Hearts and Coronets. That was in the first half of the show.
I looked at my phone at the interval and adverts to buy Kind Hearts and Coronets on DVD were there.
Coincidence? Spooky? Big Brother watching us?
The best one though was the Tory MP who had been looking up something on the Labour Party website and the next day asked in the House of Commons if it was ethical for Labour to have adverts for Russian prostitutes on it's website.
