Good comments re the US perspective on team sports. I perceived the narrative this season from the Scot Prem clubs, Dundee FC, Aberdeen FC and Hibs has been very similar and the common factor is some form of American ownership/interest - no coincidence and the naivety and lack of knowledge re Scot footie/fans' aspirations was glaring!! I can recall the Hibs shareholders' debate at last year's AGM when Ron Gordon was touting his new vision for the club and a great idea of installing giant screens at ER Stadium to provide the "matchday experience". A very good presentation on the subject btw, but one shareholder stood up and said to him, "It's great Ron, you can 'talk the talk', but can you 'walk the walk'? We still need a vg footie team to revere on those big screens". I thought that was a very fitting and cautionary remark at that time and IMO "the jury is still out" re Ron Gordon and the way he has set up his new management regime "running the show" at ER Stadium.
