To help you a bit with who we want in the playoffs, since Carlos has taken over, Town have yet to taste defeat to Luton, drawing 3 and winning 1. Last season saw two 1-1 draws, whilst this season saw a 0-0 and the 2-0 victory a couple of weeks ago. In theory Town are due a defeat to Luton with Carlos as manager, but Luton have seen their squad decimated by injuries in the last week or so. Town versus Sheffield United is pretty much just going on this season, it has seen Town win at Brammall Lane 2-1 and draw at home 0-0, rather unfortunately, in terms of form, United are one of the more inform teams, but then, so are we. Towns match ups against Middlesbrough since Carlos arrived has seen Town win twice and lose twice. The win last season was 3-2 against a Neil Warnock side, the defeat was 2-1 against the same manager, but Town were rather unfortunate, hitting the post on multiple occasions. This season saw a 2-1 home defeat, where we were comprehensively outplayed by Chris Wilder’s side, and a 2-0 win at the Riverside thanks to goals from Sarr and Rhodes, although if you listen to Wilder and some of their fans, it was daylight robbery. With regards to Millwall it is two wins and two defeats for the Terriers since Corberan took over. A 3-0 win at the Den last season and a 1-0 home defeat, coupled with a 1-0 home win this season and a 2-0 away defeat.
In terms of played for both, Nahki Wells is one of the more obvious ones, the Bermudan international spent 3 years at the club after joining from Bradford, but left when the two parties couldn't agree a deal when Town got promoted to the Premier League. He went to join Burnley and had 3 years there, but only managed 9 appearances, instead spending the vast majority of it out on loan at QPR. When QPR couldn't afford to make the deal permanent, Wells moved to Bristol and began well but has found himself more on the periphery due to the form of Weimann and Martin.

Kasey Palmer is another in the current Bristol squad. The attacking midfielder was a key member of the promotion squad at Town and made 24 appearances that season, although his form suffered in the play offs due to a serious muscle injury picked up against Leeds, which allowed fellow Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown to get more game time. Palmer began the 17-18 season on loan at Town once again, but struggled to get a look into the Premier League side, partially down to injuries and fitness, but also down to rumoured trouble away from the pitch. He would spend the second half of the season on loan at Derby, but would struggle to make much of an impact. He would have a further two loans the next season, the first being at Blackburn where once again form deserted him and the second at Bristol City. The Robins saw enough in him to make the deal permanent. His time at Bristol has seen him play a few more games over the course of a season, but he has not been able to influence them in terms of goals, he spent part of last season out on loan at Swansea.

Former Town loanee Andy King is also amongst the Bristol City squad this season, he joined up with former manager Pearson after a spell in Belgium. He spent half a season on loan at Town from Leicester when we had the dubious pleasure of having Danny Cowley in charge. He made 14 unmemorable appearances for Town during his time here. Also with him at both clubs was Danny Simpson, the full back was brought in by Cowley to add some experience to the back line and he played 24 times for the club. He did offer solidity to the defence and not much in terms of going forward, his time at Town ended rather acrimoniously when Cowley reportedly offered him a new contract on a fairly hefty wage, only for Leigh Bromby and Phil Hodgkinson to withdraw the offer. He never played again for Town and it marked the beginning of the end for Cowley. After nearly a year out, Simpson joined Pearson, who he played under at Leicester, he played 4 times last season and 3 this, before being released from his contract early.
