Ron Gourlay's statement
#4
Please excuse my cynicism regarding this but his statement follows the well worn format of “hands up, we were terrible” so we all admire the honesty but framed by “it’s the result of shocking decisions by those previously responsible, not me”. Fortunately, according to Gourlay, we have Steve Bruce to guide HMS Albion into the lucrative waters of the Premier League because he’s done it before and he’s sure he’ll do it again on a budget of SFA. This optimism is despite a catalogue of bewildering and crass decisions taken by Mr Bruce in his short time with us.

With Gourlay and Bruce at the helm, what could possibly go wrong? Whistle
