Yep - totally pointless hiring him and the "finger of blame" is firmly pointed in the direction of Ben Kensell. Being an ex-interviewer of people in the Public Service, I would've loved to have attended that interview to discover the full content of this meeting that led to such a huge management gaffe. As said previously, the CEO would also be "oot the door" pronto - it should never have happened and it's a shame for Maloney himself that he was placed in this position even though he knew the risk involved.
