If they want to give it to SDG then why not just do it earlier on ? It just seems like the club has no vision or ambition. God knows who will want the gig now.
I get that his form as manager was poor but there was clearly mitigating factors there. I reckon certain players have not been doing their jobs and have let us down for a start off. This kind of pish has been going on since Lennons "boy band" comments back in the day and points to something in our training set up and culture where we are going wrong.
And you know what ??? If it wasn't really working out what would have happened if gordon hadn't made that wonder save at the weekend and we'd levelled and gone on to win the tie ?? What then ?
I wouldn't excuse caldwells role in all this either, the guy is a dumbass. I wouldn't rely on him to coach jackshit.
