I was fearing this game....we never beat Luton.
But hey ho, a win is a win. Yes lucky for some of it, but overall I think it was deserved.
Penalty was a penalty, soft though. Russell goal was absolutely meant.....what a finish. No one has mentioned what a great assist by Pipa to find him with the throw in.
Set pieces are a gold mine for us this season.....keep working on them. What we lose against bigger spenders in this division we gain back from set pieces.
Luton boy should have been sent off for push on LO'B. Was not at the face or neck but was done when LO'B couldn't see it.....and anyway you look at it it was violent conduct.
Made me laugh though when LO'B said in interview after game that he was just celebrating with the fans about the penalty miss, not insulting the player that missed.
Brilliant performances by Rhodes and Sarr when they both came on. Made such a difference. Squad game now.
One win in our remaining 5 games and we are definitely in the playoffs. No one could have predicted we would be in them at the start of the season. What a turnaround.
Corberan has lasted longer than Bielsa this season....who would have though that?
