I'd be inclined to start playing Semi Ajayi in midfield as he was the only player who made any forward runs and got to the byline to cross for Carroll's goal. Only time a decent cross was hung up all game.

Every other cross was food and drink for the defenders as they were coming from too deep. Our wing backs don't have the ability to get forward.

Far too many players just hanging back to provide back and square options. We look completely clueless progressing the ball forward.

I'm not sure where we go from here as there's a real dearth of talent in our squad. Bruce has no idea on his best XI, formation or anything. Even the goalkeeper has started having a mare.

The only positive was the 10 minute spell after the penalty when for the first time in months, we seemed to show some belief. Despite that, Huddersfield still would've won in added time if it wasn't for Carroll's excellent goal line clearance. Big rebuild job needed in the summer and I'm not convinced we have the right people at the club for it.

Slick, I think you’re right, there is a huge rebuilding required as this squad is not good enough to get out of this division, let alone survive in the Premier League. The trouble is that I feel a rebuilding will take a couple of years at least and I’m not sure the fans have that level of patience; there seems to be a demand for instant success and an immediate return to the EPL. The foundations of the club seem very weak; we seem to be prepared to lose high potential young players while signing average journeymen (eg Reyes Cleary and Jason Molumby & Adam Reach). As long as we are prepared to continue down that road I honestly think we’ll stagnate. We don’t have the financial clout to sign really game-changing players and we don’t seem to value our young players enough to take a genuine chance with them. As a result we’ll sign more like Reach and Mulumby. Having Bruce in charge will, in my opinion, only reinforce that approach
