Ska'd, I am absolutely loving your book. Taking my time over it but am nearing the end. Balis is about to take that penalty! A really excellent read. I was at those home games against Red Star and Nottingham Forest in the spring of 1979. I thought the ref for the Red Star game was terrible, so biased. I think he was from East Germany.

Gents, that night against Red Star was horrible for me but more so for my old man. We came out having lost and the car had gone!!!! We had parked it down Halfords Lane near to a pub that is now the train station, just over the bridge on the left.I was 11 and remember my dad looking around for it. We had little money and he worked his roe out. It was an Austin 1800, cream in colour with red leather. I even remember the reg number HWV 154E.

Some memories eh?? We had to catch the 87 back to Dudley. Police caught the bloke a few months later but we never got the car back.........and you're right the ref was shit aswell

I was gutted for my dad and we never had another car for years. All his tools went as well. Loved going up the Albion with my dad, still do but he's been in poor health bless him
